After Gaining employment and housing Oly and I have been displaced from housing due to LGBTQ discrimination
My single mode of transportation was HIDDEN by my neighbors who do not agree with LGBTQ existence. Being without any for of transportation, I have lost my employment
I am seeking any guidance and assistance from any community concerning my labor dispute and discrimination from neighbor and landlord as LGBT individuals are discriminated against in Americas Illinois Heartland.
. Within the past 48 hours I was booked and released upon Oly and I walked from Lincoln Grand Movie theatre back to our temporary motel. There is no sidewalks, ride shares, taxis, car service or public transportation. I was arrested by 3 officers due to a citizen reporting us for walking. Oly was ultimately booked into Animal control himself. There are no charges against me, I had to pay for his release from Animal control. Within the following 24 hours a car performed a hit and run damaging my fingers and legs while speeding Shackled wrists and ankles by Lincoln Illinois PD after a call of Oly and I walking on public grass on an unpaved road post viewing Sound of Music at their only local theatre, for air conditioning!
After having to pay Lincoln Animal Control to release Oly back to myself I headed to an apartment viewing trying to be optimistic only to be swerved into and hit by a car. Throwing me into a fence, severely damaging my legs and left hand.
New town without transportation, anything but nightly housing and with Oly in public grass publicMy name is Andrew and my service dog Oly, my other half. After facing eviction and now gaining full-time employment in a new region of Illinois, we have the ability to establish with the generous guidance and financial assistance from others. We do not have housing or transportation, but the full-time employment is beginning September 22nd!
We need the financial support to establish ourselves to safely eat, sleep, and shelter as I finally gained full-time employment.
