Indian Homeless Student - Survival Support

This is a go fund me page to help get 18yo  home to India to be with his family.

He originally came here to do a three year computer IT course at university. 

He had been living in a shared house and working to pay for his course & living expenses but due to the COVID-19 he lost his job.

Because he couldn’t pay his share of the rent he was asked to leave so he began sleeping in his car.

I noticed the car in the early hours of the morning and then later on just after lunch.

I noticed in the car there was a mattress in the back and the driver was huddled up in a thin blanket.

I asked him are you OK, to which he replied yes.

I then asked him are you homeless and he said yes.

He had slept in his car for four nights and I could tell he hadn’t eaten as he had the shakes and looked very fragile.

Kris arranged food & drink which I got from our local fish and chip shop.

I messaged the owner from Seabrook Domino’s and asked does he have any work which he replied yes he will help him out.

He has given him three hours a day for three days a week which is great but not enough for him to survive.

They also gave him food last night.

I asked him to park behind the shops so he can have some privacy whilst I work out what I could do for him.

I took him home for a shower and got all his clothes from his car and washed them for him.

Last night he stayed at my place in a nice warm bed.

Today he has gone to a nice Indian couple with a child. They are happy to supply him a room and food.

He wants to go home to his family as they are stressing knowing what has happened.

Seeing this boy sleeping in his car just broke my heart.

Knowing he had no family around him and didn’t know what to do.
