My name is Tamika Zigler Dillard. I am starting up a homeless shelter to house the less fortunate in Martinsville, VA, and surrounding areas. There is a great need, and it is about to get cold again. It's not fair that we are able to sleep in our warm houses and in our comfortable beds while others suffer.

Usually, I assist the less fortunate out of my own pocket, but I'm a mother of three; therefore, I can't afford to do so at this time. I am passionate about opening my homeless shelter by my birthday on November 9, 2025, or at least raising funds to house them in hotels or in my own home or nearby.
