Homeless Momma trying to get back on her feet

Hello everyone! My name is Morgan and I'm trying to get a little bit of help to get back on my feet.

I've been homeless for a couple of months with my 18-month-old daughter and have been staying in and out of hotels when I have the funds to do so. This all started when my lease ended at my apartment and I was going to renew, but then last minute they told us that we couldn't because they would be remodeling the apartment building. Because I wasn't planning on moving right then, I had no backup plan for anywhere to go.

That's when I packed up all my stuff with my daughter and my dog and went to a hotel. The first month in the hotel was fine because I had my tax money, but as we all know, that doesn't last very long. I just recently started a new job on May 20th, so I should be getting a paycheck in 2 to 3 weeks depending on the pay period from when I started.

So I'm just really trying to get help for a hotel for a couple of weeks just until I get my first paycheck. Most recently, I have been staying at an extended stay where you pay weekly, and it's running about $500 a week. That's why I'm asking for the amount I am.

Anything and everything is very appreciated, and I can provide proof or details for anyone that may have more questions. Also, if someone is more comfortable paying the hotel directly, I'm more than grateful for that as well.

Please pray for me as this has taken a huge mental toll on myself. Not knowing if you're going to have a roof over your head from day to day is one of the worst feelings, especially as a mother. Thankfully, my daughter is young and hopefully won't remember this, but I have a lot of guilt and shame and feel as if I'm failing her. I just want to be able to provide the best childhood and have more stability for us.
