Hi, my name is Brad from Beverly, Massachusetts. I was in Worcester, Massachusetts, and I was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I was jumped by two men in ski masks, and I was almost stabbed in the face. Except for the fact that I put up my right hand to block it, they severed my two tendons in my right hand. That made it so I was unable to use the middle finger in my right hand, which is my dominant hand.
I've been through a lot in the past few years with mental health issues. I've been homeless and trying to find a place to live, but due to my hand, which needs two reconstructive surgeries and a year of physical therapy, I've had to wait until I get some place to live so I can get the surgery. So, I am coming to the winter in Beverly, Massachusetts, and I am still homeless and trying to find a way to get a place to live and start to get the surgery. But with no one else in my life to help me, I am on my own. On top of the surgery I need, I have mental health issues. If you can find it in your heart to donate anything at all, I really need it, and it will help me out of the place in my life that I really don't want to be anymore.
