Fast forward, I'm living in Casa Grande, Arizona and working at the Salvation Army. In my 2nd year the I witnessed the assistant manager telling a young lady and I quote "if your child doesn't stop crying I'm going to ask you to leave the store." Appalled I replied that's a baby(who looked 6-9 months old). Simultaneously two customers jumped in and echoed my sentiment consoling her as who began to cry. From that day on she had a Vengeance out for me and tried it everything she could to get me fired. Her last trick was getting one of her personal friends to hired as a volunteered and threaten me and then reported that I threatened him. But since I start getting harassed at my job I've audio recorded each day I worked.
But it was a team effort. On the other side I found out on days I'd work 10 hours I was only getting paid for 9 and a half. What management was doing was manually clocking me out for a second lunch. So I contacted HR who never returned my request for answers to why? And of course my money. More check issues my stub say I have 30+ hours sick time I took a sick day but I didn't get paid so I contact HR. HR says I've been overpaid in sick time by almost $500 and I have to pay it back. I ask for copies of how was I overpaid and on her part(she does the books too) how didn't she catch it on the first time? I received a paper with my annual pay and sick time allotted and some number that said they paid me much, no dates nothing. So I didn't have sick time for almost 2 years. And lastly when I was furloughed when covid began my last day was on the 14th of April. I even get paperwork stating so. After not receiving my final check HR said my last day was on the 10th. Besides there was no time sheet provided for her. I was working with the assistant manager the day I printed my timesheet. I inform her that I have a copy of my timesheet as I always print an extra copy for my records. So then states I wasn't authorized to work. But she'll look into the matter. I then tell her about the harassment I've been getting from the assistant manager. She said she'll look into that as well. 2 months later I return to work after waiting for my first check after returning I still didn't get paid for that week therefore I filed against the company with the EEOC. After learning about it the company began to target me ever more.
I filed a harassment Report with HR I added to the list of things that the assistant manager previously done to me and the most devastating one was on two separate occasions she told me that she would "hang me." I wasn't fired until I gave this report to HR and that's why I feel it was for whistleblowing.
I was working 2 jobs when I gave up the house I was renting to live the trailer life then my truck broke down. I had to quit the Sushi Bar in Mesa because I couldn't make it. But I bought a cheap car that finally broke down which I'm now living in . I can't get unemployment because it was a
non-profit. The plan was to buy a 24' travel trailer but no truck to haul it. An older RV fits my needs. And it'll help me to never be a burden to society, by falling in debt or living beyond my needs.
