Homeless Children in Ireland
Please support us!!
The students of Durrow N.S, Tullamore, Co. Offaly
Our aim is to help three families who are on the verge of homelessness through the aegis of Tullamore St. Vincent de Paul.
The pupils in 5th and 6th class came together with their principal and class teachers to brainstorm on how we can encourage people who are struggling this Christmas to keep up hope and believe in your dreams. Some children don't realize how lucky they are and our children felt that they could help spread this hope by composing their own song called "The Dream I Hold Inside."
This fabulous song has great words which makes the listeners have empathy towards families and children who have no house, T.V, Christmas tree, festive food and other basic necessities this Christmas.
We hope to raise awareness of the plight of homeless children in our locality and throughout Ireland. With your donations, we will help children just like us, who have no home of their own. Together, we WILL make a difference!
All donations are gratefully accepted and the money collected will be held by the school Board of Management in a separate bank account where its spend will be overseen by the school treasurer in conjunction with the school accountants, Milne O Dwyer, Accountants & Tax Advisors, Beck House, Kilbride Street, Tullamore, Co. Offaly.
Once our donation appeal has ceased, the money will be presented officially by our school to Tullamore St. Vincent de Paul. We will also keep a close contact and look for feedback on our overall aim to help three families who are on the verge of homelessness through the aegis of Tullamore St. Vincent de Paul.
