Hi my name is Betsy and my dog is Betty…

I was made homeless and got a room in the Salvation Army….. I had Betty from when I viewed the room at Salvation Army….. I asked for Betty to come to live there with me as a family member lost our family dog and I was told no….

i then got so depressed and suicidal not having Betty with me was destroying me each day…. Staff also didn’t want to help with getting Betty in with me…..

I then got bad news from a family member having cancer and it sent me even more depressed and wanting and needing my friends around me….

Salvation Army then told me I had 7 days to get out…..

i feel I have been let down by salvation and the council and all other professionals involved….

I would love for me and Betty to be able to pay for a place of our own instead of sofa to sofas…… Betty has been by my side through all of this….

betty saved my life. a few years back wen I wanted to end my life I didn’t due to who would Betty go to….. now all I want to do is give back to my companion who has got me to where we are now……

betty and I will use the money to rent a property to make a home….
