Homeless after scammer steals their $2,000 rent

Hi, my name is Cathy. I am trying to help my 47 year old disabled son and his cousin. Samantha picked up Scott at our Marble Falls home yesterday morning. She had paid $2,000.00 to the property manager of a house they were going to rent. She even toured the home, after the landlord remotely unlocked the door. When they arrived at the house they tried calling property manager. There was no answer. There were two cars in the driveway. They knocked on the door. It was answered by the new owners who just moved in two weeks ago. Scott & Samantha have no money, two little dogs and no place to stay. They slept in Samantha’s car all night. Samantha works as a manager of a gas station. Scott draws disability. They both lost all the money they had. Please help get them into an apartment so they can begin rebuilding their lives.
