On April 12, 2000, God blessed our family with a beautiful baby boy. My son Isaiah Lamont Koroma-Crawford changed my life forever! He is my first born child and brought endless joy to our family. Watching him grow from an infant to a toddler, adolescent to a young man the past 19 years has been the joy of my life. Isaiah spent his days bringing joy and happiness to everyone around him and we are thankful for the lives, the tears, the simple smiles and all the joy he brought to the Koroma family.
Just as Isaiah made me a mother back in the year 2000, he and his girlfriend Ayanna, made me a grandmother on June 27, 2018 when she gave birth to my first and only grandchild Micah Koroma-Black. When I hold Micah, when he smiles, when cries and when he laughs I am reminded of the days when Isaiah was just an infant. Those memories bring joy to me and now in the most difficult time of our lives, our family tries to hold on to those memories as Isaiah is now gone.
On April 23, 2019, we lost Isaiah and now our family is faced with planning and preparing for home going services for our beloved first son and my mother’s first grandchild. Isaiah we love you and will miss you. Your life served as so many “first” for us all. My first child, my mother’s first grandchild, you gave me my first grandchild and we are forever grateful for the time God blessed us with your presence. As a family we will rally around your siblings as this is a very difficult time for them as well. As a family we will rally around your son and make sure that he knows his father and how amazing he was! But first we have to gather every ounce of understanding and strength that we have so that we can celebrate your life while simultaneously mourning our loss.
We created this gofundme to graciously seek assistance. Isaiah was only 19 years old when he departed this life and unfortunately everything was not in place for his unexpected and untimely death. If you are able and can find it in your heart to donate to help our family in this difficult time we will forever be grateful. If all that you can provide are prayers and condolences, we appreciate that as well. God Bless you and thank you in advance. #IsaiahWeLoveYou #suicideawareness
