Hello all,
With great sadness, I inform all of you that my mother, Betty Porter, went Home to be with the Lord January 12, 2023. In 2020, my mother was officially diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's, and it progressed quickly.
My mother's diagnosis drastically impacted and changed life as we previously knew it. Christmas Day of 2022, she was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer while hospitalized. Following Betty's cancer diagnosis, she began receiving 24-hour comfort care.
Due to the severe side effects of her Alzheimer's, Betty's life insurance policy lapsed; therefore, she does not have life insurance.
I want to honor my mother with the proper Homegoing celebration, but as her only child and primary support system, I am struggling financially to provide that.
