Our beloved Father/Grandfather/Pastor/Husband has fought and won his battle to Cancer. Neftalí Flores was the strongest man I’ve known. As many know Neftalí Flores battled metastasized Stage 4 prostate cancer on December 2014. He repeatedly assisted to his chemotherapy and radiation Monday- Thursday for 4-5 hours daily, for 2 years. After every treatment the side effects of Chemo were crucial and weakened his immune system and physical strength, he lost his appetite, started loosing his hair, got sores in his mouth causing so much pain to eat or drink, he’d get nauseous and diarrhea, shortness of breathe, hot flashes. This journey hasn’t been easy for him and his family seeing him ill. Cancer sucks!!

Unfortunately the cancer was so aggressive it rapidly spread to the bones; his legs, arms, shoulders, neck, spinal cord, sternum and other organs. Again he started Chemo and radiation to stop the tumors from growing and spreading. We then noticed my father started falling often, was more confused/ disorientated, his coordination was off, sharp constant headaches. My mother stopped working to care of him for a year. She was the best nurse to him he’d tell us. “The BEST!”. ❤️

One day the pain in his head and pressure was so severe we rushed him to the hospital asked for an MRI and CT scan to be performed. Sadly the tumor/ cancer had spread to his brain on December 2021. He started Chemo and Radiation again for the 3rd round. I’d admire his bravery/ strength because despite the bad news he never lost hope that’ll be cancer free one day.
We noticed my father started deteriorating. He was never the same again. Just to stand up and go to the bathroom he wouldn’t have the strength to walk on his own. He was so tired already. Due to the tumor pushing onto a nerve in his head, he no longer was able to eat, drink, talk, breathe and swallow as before for a few weeks. Unfortunately he physically lost his battle to Cancer on January 05, 2022, but I know he is now in a better place now.
Although in his delicate and painful condition he always had a smile on his face, never did he question God Why?! All he’d say was Thank you Lord. Thank you! My father always had uplifting words and preached the Gospel to anyone that needed a word of encouragement, financial help, and compassion. Thank you daddy for all the love, hard work and dedication you had for your family, friends and the congregation. It will never go unnoticed here on earth and in heaven. You are No longer by our side but forever in our hearts.

Please help us honor my beloved father’s life with a Homegoing service to put his body to rest as soon as possible before he decomposes. Please keep my family and myself in your prayers, help us by sharing this GoFundMe account, and monetarily to reach our desired goal. Please I know if the community, family and friends put a little grain we can make my beloved father’s last wishes come true, it’d be such a blessing to us in these devastating times. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Everything and everyone is highly appreciated.
