M name is Chinyere Adaku Nnodi. I am the only daughter of the late and great Mr. Bethel Anya Nnodi Sr. My father was a great, peaceful, and proud man. He came to this country for education and to better his life for himself and his family. My father was one of the most hard-working men I have ever met. In the last few years of his life, he hit a bump in the road in life where he lost it all. His pride left him too proud to ask for help, and I worked so hard to get things in order, but it just was not enough. My father transitioned on October 7, 2022, after experiencing a heart attack. My dad worked for over 40 years in this country, and the retirement he deserved could not happen due to the legal technicalities of not being born in America. Due to delays in renewing his green card during COVID, he could not collect the social security they said he was entitled to. Now he transitioned with no life insurance, and we are trying to get the funds together to send him home to Nigeria. I hate asking for help, and I get that from him, but I need to know I did all I could to ensure he was laid to rest as he deserved. Anything is appreciated!
