Homegoing for King DarVon Malik Fletcher

My name is Mrs. D. McCormick- Cole, Im the mother of DarVon M. Fletcher. My son was 22 year's old. He has been a victim of the recent shootings that has taken over the street's of Charlotte, NC. That has left multiple families in deep hurt & pain. To lose someone due to senseless violence. Hurts deeper!!! I truly had an amazing son. Whom truly did as God instructed him. Which is to honor thy mother & father. He was my best friend!! My protector, My cheerleader, My secret keeper, My comedian, My Sonshine, My hero. Im so grateful the Father which are in heaven. Chose me as his mother. As well as blessing my entire family to be apart of his short yet fulfilled life. My son truly loved me.. Im broken at this moment. As a mother your plans aren't to bury your children. It suppose to be different right?. Yet, I stand at this crossroad. One, I have seen all my life. To those known & unknown. I have saw the lives of our young black men taken. Not by the hands of a racial hate crime. By the hands of the one that looks just like him. Just like you as well as me. There's no marching, protesting or order being called. No justice we all stand as one and effectively bring about a change. GENOCIDE is the proper name. I'm Hurting, Angry, Fed Up & Sad.. Even threw my pain, God is GOOD...My Father has me in a quiet place & peace in my mind. Im thankful, it's coming in waves. It's a pain, Iv'e never felt before!! Yet, I still trust & know that My Father in heaven loves my son. More greater than, I could ever love... Watching Father's, siblings, Aunt's, Uncle's, Cousin's, Grandparents, Friends near & far. Yearn for his presence, that one more hug, kiss, more so his smile. That lite & warmed my heart every time he smiled. My baby fought a hard fight to stay in the earthly rim. His mission in this life was stolen from him. Due to black on black gun violence. During this time in our darkest moment.. God is still Good. No one has won!!! Mother's & families are hurting. Please let's pray for both families. All families... People are hurting please stop the killing. Please lift us all up in prayer. Please help me, lay my baby to rest.  Like the King he was..
