Darius was diagnosed October 7, 2018 with the life altering extremely rare illness of Aplastic Anemia.  Aplastic Anemia is a condition that occurs when your body stops producing enough new blood cells. Aplastic anemia leaves you feeling fatigued and with a higher risk of infections and uncontrolled bleeding. Aplastic Anemia can develop at any age and may occur suddenly, or it can occur slowly and get worse over a long period of time.

For approximately four months  we watched Darius fight as hard as he could to get well. He continually was admitted in and out the hospital, had several blood transfusions and gracefully waited for a match of a bone marrow transplant. Darius experienced detrimental days that changed his health completely, yet his good days will not be forgotten. 

On January 4th at 3:00 am Darius suffered a major heart attack from the pressures of fighting this illness. At the young age of 15 he passed with peace in his heart and a clear view of a delightful and pleseant final destination.

 Currently there is a need to reassure his mother is able to maintain while continuing to pay final expenses. If anyone is able to be a blessing to her and assist with the final cost it will be greatly appreciated. As this is still a tough time and we are wanting to lift as much grief and burden from her as possible.

Our family would like to thank EVERYONE who has donated to assist with giving Darius the homecoming celebration that he was much deserving of. His character was deserving of the best!
