Homegoing Service Expenses for Karina Hannibal

Donation protected
Hello. My name is Keisha Anderson. My sister Karina affectionately known as (ReeRee) recently passed on 2/27/2022. Karina was a mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, neighbor and friend to so many.

She had a short carreer with DC Public Schools as a Special Education Teacher's Aid. Once she developed kidney disease, she dedicated her life to raising her children and assisting with her grandchildren. She loved babies! Even though she was sick she gave her time and her talents and even provided shelter to many with no place to go. ReeRee really never met a stranger.

ReeRee battled a kidney disease for a little over 20 years and heart disease for the last ten years. She received dialysis tratments every other day since 2001. On her 46th birthday, she received a kidney transplant and said it was the best birthday present ever! Unfortunately, her new kidney rejected during the pandemic and she was forced to resume dialysis and was unable to return to her job at the Nationals Stadium.

I have assisted in advocating for my sister's health for the past 20 years. As she became sicker over the last three months, I continued to advocate when she was unable to speak for herself. Today, I am advocating one last time on ReeRee's behalf by asking for a donation toward her Homegoing Service expenses. Any amount is greatly appreciated.

Peace and Blessings
