My name is Margaret, and I am fundraising for my 20-year-old sister, Rachael.
Rachael is a bright, caring and talented girl whose life dramatically changed in November 2023 following a ruptured brain aneurysm. The massive bleeding caused severe brain damage, leaving her unable to walk or carry out daily activities independently.
Rachael has shown incredible strength and continues to fight every day on her road to recovery. However, she has now been medically discharged, as doctors feel there is nothing more they can do for her while in hospital. This does not mean her journey is over—it’s just the beginning, with the right support in place for her.
Right now, the biggest challenge we face is that our family home is not wheelchair accessible. To make it possible for Rachael to return home and continue her recovery surrounded by love, we need to build an extension that will give her a safe and accessible space to live in.
We are asking for your help to make this possible. Any donation, no matter how small, will go directly towards the resources needed to complete the extension to give Rachael the dignity, comfort, and independence she deserves.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, generosity, and support in helping us bring Rachael home.
With gratitude,
Margaret & family
