This beautiful woman is one of my closest friends Reina and along with her on life's journey are her beautiful daughters Brooklyn and Ashlyn. Like alot of people today they have been having a rough go of things, but unlike a good lot of us, the negative is heavily winning over the positive . Since January this amazing trio have been moving from friend's houses to hotels for a night or two and some nights Reina has even been sleeping in her car while the girls are away. They have applied for assistance, and have been placed on many if not all of the waiting lists for housing and other general assistance. Reina is doing her best to keep her girls in an amazing school where her daughters are flourishing beautifully schoolastically and  socially. This is why staying in Palo Alto has become so important for her: to maintain the support within the school district that has fully supported her daughter's needs. Having relocated to the bay three years ago was more than enough uprooting for these sweet girls and we hope that by finding a small RV for them to live in they will be able to continue receiving such great academic support. This, paired with Reina going back to school for a more stable career, will make all the difference.
Along with helping her daughters thrive and grow, she has been able to keep her upbeat moral about all parts of their not so ideal situation for her and her two tween girls. Staying positive has helped her girls stay strong in the midst of it all.  At this point, this is not how I want my friend and her girls to be living. The goal that I am (hopefully) putting into motion for Reina and her daughters is pretty awesome. I would like to help her raise $7,000 to be able to purchase an RV (and pay registration fees) for them to be able to call home for the next year or so until they can get back on their feet. I know there is a light at the end of the tunnel for these ladies, and I am hoping we can come togther to make that happen for them. If ever there is a person in need, Reina is always willing to help in any way she possibly can. She gives because she knows what it is to give support when it's needed. Her heart and passion for those she loves is mighty and I hope that we can do for her as she does for others.
