You may know Mikka as your acroyoga or pole dance teacher, the one who threw that amazing party or made your friend’s birthday cake. She is known for inspiring others to live their lives wild, free and deeply connected. Her passion and dedication for creating community shines through in every magical moment at her events and every new friendship formed.
About 2 years ago Mikka turned her passion inward as she shed light on the biggest dream of her life; to become a mother. Since then, she has ventured into the wild, unconventional path of becoming a single mother by choice.
After 3 pregnancy losses, including one traumatic, life-threatening event with many medical interventions, today she is finally 9 months pregnant with a healthy baby girl.
Mikka is now ready to prepare for her first birth and the arrival of baby Minx. After the traumatic cascade of hospital interventions Mikka encountered during her first miscarriage, she dreams of bringing a healthy baby into this world in the safest, most natural way possible; with a skilled homebirth midwife.
In order to cover costs of a homebirth midwife, doula support and postpartum expenses, she needs your help! Midwives cost 6-8k in San Francisco and the support during her postpartum period immediately after birth is vital to the health of mom and baby. Doula support will cost around 4k. Mikka’s expenses during her postpartum period will cost around 11k as she will be unable to work and will be spending this time healing from birth and nourishing her baby.
Mikka needs to pay her midwife in full before her birth in July/Aug. Support this mama and her new babe transition safely into our community!
