Home vandalized, ransacked, illegally occupied

Davey and Kat had a beautiful home in Escondido, CA and were planning to move back there from Boston. The tenant who rented the property for the past five years, deserted and failed to pay rent. Davey went out to ready the house for their move next week and discovered mountains of trash both inside and outside, abandoned vehicles, smashed in walls covered in graffiti, water leak damage to hardwood floors, unspeakable filth, as well as stolen appliances and property. Kat is about to begin a job with Urban Street Angels, a nonprofit helping homeless teens in San Diego. They have exhausted all of their cash and credit cards trying clean up the damage and at the same time pay for their move. As of today, their insurance company is indicating they probably will not be reimbursing them for these damages. The court costs and legal fees are more than they can pay at this time and they need to press charges against this tenant who apparently let others occupy the house while he wasn’t even living there. They are drowning financially and need assistance. The irony is that these two are always the first people to give help, donate money, show up with home cooked meals, and plant a garden for free. They deduct money from their pay monthly to give to charities and now they are the ones in need. They desperately need a second dumpster to haul away this mess and can’t do it without help. While this isn’t a medical emergency, it is a life emergency and anything that you can spare for them will be gratefully received. Help is needed immediately.
