Hampton home swept away in Tennessee flood

Hello,

My name is Travis Hampton and I am raising money for my parents. Their home and personal belongings were swept away in the floods in Tennessee on 8/21/21. The water rose so quickly that they were only able to save some personal items. The house stopped in some trees about a half mile down the river.  This creek is normally about ankle deep.  Their area in TN received 17.26 inches of rain in a couple hours.  When they escaped the hours the flood waters were already up to the deck stairs.  They moved here to retire just 2 years ago and now there is nothing left.  The flood insurance is only going to cover what is left on the mortgage and some personal items even though it was built above the 100 year flood plain.
