Home renovation -breast cancer patient

God has put a family on our hearts and the desire to support them. It's a family of 6 with three kids under 5 and an aging parent they take care of (her mom that has health issues and lost her husband a few years ago to a long cancer struggle.). When the mom was pregnant with her last, they bought a house in Farmington Hills, MI. They knew that this house would need some work, but they agreed to that work and had planned for it, but then she got a breast cancer diagnosis. She has been in treatment for the last 1.5 years or so. She will also need to have another preventative surgery in the next few years. She is currently much better, but still taking medication that is having side-effects. And their plans of renovating the house have been on hold. All they have been doing so far, is take care of leaks they have had. Their financials and the husband working two jobs is not helping their undertaking.

Anyways, Andre and I have decided that we are going to do some work on their home April 14-17. There is a huge list of items to be upgraded/repaired/redone and I have tried to narrow it down to what we can do in these days (new flooring incl. abatement os asbestos, painting, caulking and some other odd jobs) to hopefully make a big impact. God willing we will be able to have the manpower and materials to complete everything on our list. The full list can be found in the last tab of this file.
