Home lost to Woolsey Fire

My dad, step mom and step sister have lost their home and everything in it Friday 11/09 due to the Woolsey Fire. They evacuated early morning just grabbing a few important items and their cat and 3 dogs. They didn’t think this could actually happen, like most of us are thinking today.

Around 3pm they received the call that their mobile home park, Seminole Springs, was 3/4 burnt to the ground. The street they lived on was most likely the first to go as their home backs up to the Santa Monica mountain range.

That home was in our family for over 45 years and since I was old enough to swing a hammer we built and expanded it in every way possible. It was a labor of love and my dad belived he had finally got to the point where it was “perfect” with all the work he put into it. 

And its all gone. I’m sure insurance will pay for them to rebuild but as of now my dad only has the shirt on his back and the shoes on his feet. I’m asking for any donations to keep them going during these next few weeks as we don’t even know what the first step is going to be or where they will go. 

I know everyone is experiencing loss right now in some form or another and we appreciate all the love and support that already has been pouring in.
