Home lost to electrical fire before Christmas
Donation protected
I'm writing on behalf of my litter brother Tyler and his girlfriend Jasmine. They are 23 years old and have been together for 6 years. They live together in Cupertino, California.
Yesterday, December 20th, they lost their home and all belongings to an electrical fire. Despite trying to stop the fire with a fire extinguisher, the fire continued to spread and had consumed all of their belongings within minutes. Thankfully they were able to escape physically unharmed, but are left with only the clothes they were wearing when the fire started.
Now they are without a place to live. They have lost all furniture, clothing, all belongings--the home they had built together--the fire has been deemed a total loss of property by the fire department. Red Cross is providing temporary house for two days; other public aid is being looked into, however these outlets are very limited and cannot compare to the devastating loss they are experiencing.
Tyler and Jasmine are now facing the overwhelming task of rebuilding everything they have created together, while not having the security of a roof over their heads. The pain and difficulty they are going through is unimaginable, especially during the holidays.
Thank you in advance for all kind wishes and support.
