Hello everbody, my name is Wolfe Macleod. I run a very small company manufacturing musical instrument parts.
On Saturday, February 5th, David Vest, my friend of 30 years, and employee of 18 years lost his home of 24 years to an electrical fire that started in the basement. This house was built in 1905, and was not adequately maintained by the property management, as it continued to fall apart around them,
This rental situation was quite unique, with rent being only about $750 per month due to owners of the house and their situation. Six people lived in the home, and it took all of them to afford it and the bills.
We are salvaging what little we can.
Due to health reasons, David is only able to work very limited, part time hours. He was the only one living inthe house with a job, working for me. Everyone else was disabled. He does not own a car, is not able to drive, and has no resources or savings to speak of.
Nearly everything is destroyed, and they are desperate to find a new, hopefully affordable place, for himself, his girlfriend, and her autistic daughter. My own resources for help are limited and running thin. Thanks to the Red Cross, they are currently put up in an extended-stay motel close to work, but that will only last about ten more days as of 2-8-22.
Any help that can be provided is greatly appreciated.
