Home left in shambles after flood

Donation protected
Flooding on July 11th left Mike and Judy Karkheck stranded in their home as they waited for rescue by emergency crews. The roads were flooded in numerous spots making it a very long and difficult rescue, forcing emergency crews to wait until flood waters went down to a safer level before making contact. While Mike and Judy and their two dogs are safe and healthy,  their house did not fair well in the flooding. The house is currently uninhabitable, flood waters rose so high the flooring was ruined. We are anticipating electrical issues as well as many other issues as the water continues to go down. The well and septic are a complete loss. The propane tanks used for cooking ripped from the house. The stove likely has water damage as does washer and dryer.  The driveway is completely destroyed. One of their vehicles has substantial damage yet to be fullyassessed. Basically their home of over 30 years that they raised their family in has been destroyed and they now need to rebuild and they could use some help. They do have insurance, but because they do not have flood insurance, because they have never had a reason for it, it is uncertain how much if any insurance will cover.
