Homegoing services for our beloved Krystal Hill

Krystal Hill was a mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter and entrepreneur. She was loved by too many to count. No one would argue that Krystal was genuine, kind, sincere, hard-working and would give you the coat off of her back. She never showed up empty-handed and her signature smile lit up every room she entered. Her children will say she was the most attentive and loving mother, and that would be an understatement.

 

In 2020 when the world was in disarray, Krystal was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer and began a new journey to add "Cancer Survivor" to her long list of accomplishments. Once she conquered breast cancer, she barely had a moment to celebrate before being diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer in early 2022. The doctors weren't hopeful and sent her home to make plans to get her affairs in order. But that would not derail her mission to fight to stay alive for her 3 beautiful children; Evan, Emaree and Eian. She tried alternative treatments, traveled abroad to see other doctors and made wigs for women undergoing Chemo. Through this difficult process, her eldest son was accepted to Livingstone College, she continued to do school drop-offs and maintain as much normalcy as she could for her children. She started a social media page dedicated to helping others undergoing treatment with upbeat content showing her journey balancing her medical treatment and family. She exhausted all of her resources and funds to keep herself alive and was determined to prove her doctors wrong. Unfortunately, on the evening of May 9, 2022 she lost her battle and transitioned with her family and children by her side at the age of 37.

Krystal's treatment made it impossible for her to work in her trade as a hair technician and she spent copious amounts of money on treatment, food and medicine to help her manage the intense, debilitating pain that caused her to be bedridden in her final days.  
We want to send her home with a proper funeral and celebration, so we are asking our village to donate what you can towards her funeral and burial costs. This will help us lay Krystal to rest in her mother's hometown of Rockingham NC, with her Granny by her side.
