Hi everyone, this fundraiser is for our dad, Jerry Atuba; he passed away on May 20th, 2023 and we are all feeling his loss. Those that had any dealings or crossed paths with our dad will agree that we lost not just a friend, but a father, a grandpa, a brother, a husband, and a very humble soul. If you didn't know our dad, he was THE BEST!
Here are several fun facts about the best dad ever:
- He tried to join the FBI (he didn't get in.)
- His dream was to join the cast of Survivor or The Amazing Race.
- He was afraid of heights.
- The "aaahhhhh" he released after he drank a good drink made you smile every time.
- He was the only man that we knew that was OBSESSED with soap operas.
- Whenever we annoyed him, he'd make this loud noise that sounds like a rhino growling.
- His laughter could fill up an entire room.
- He loved his family with his whole heart and was generous with his love.
Our family will honor his request to be buried in his hometown of Nigeria as he joins the rest of our family that has passed. He had a series of strokes that left him chronically ill and unable to function effectively. His speech and mobility were severely compromised, hence unable to work. Our family is asking for financial assistance as we are in the process of planning his wake-keeping, viewing, and burial. Every contribution, no matter how small makes a difference; even a single dollar can help us towards our goal. My family and I thank you in advance for your contribution to my dad's homegoing service.
