Richard Allen, also known to many as "Shorty Man" or "King Richard" passed suddenly after suffering a major asthma attack and a series of seizures. With not enough oxygen to the brain for an excessive 30 minutes, Richard lost all brain functioning. 

Richard was a loving father of five, 4 boys and 1 girl.  Master Barber, Owner of Strickly Cuttin, of over 15 years. A family man, adoring father, caring son, and brother.  

Richard was always there for family, friends and his Avondale community. He spent his life investing into the lives of the youth, coaching football and volunteering haircuts to local students. Anyone who knows him, knows he took pride in bringing everyone together to celebrate at least once a year on July 4th. Richard employed his community, offering a chance for anyone who crossed his path.  Richard made sure we knew who he was; humble, funny, and righteous. 


A GoFundMe page has been established to assist Richard's family in paying the costs for funeral services and his final resting place. An amount of $6,800 has been set, and even small donations will be very helpful in reaching this goal.
