Hello, to all my name is Delois Stewart-McGee, I am one of Oscar‘s older sister. Oscar was the youngest of 4.
On the evening of May 28,2020 following the protest of the murder of George Floyd here in Minneapolis, MN The Max It Pawn Shop was one of many buildings to go up in flames. Following some leads the family insisted police officials search the building for nearly two months. Finally on July 20,2020 the ATF and other search party teams searched and found human remains in the Max It Pawn Shop. We are saddened to say that, On July 31the Minneapolis medical examiner called and confirmed that the DNA was that of our beloved MR. OSCAR LEE STEWART JR.
I am making this go fund me account on behalf of my family. We are asking for help with traveling expenses to ensure all his children are able to attend together and help with getting his remains home to Jackson, Mississippi to have a proper home going celebration.
Remembering Oscar,
Oscar was a son, brother, uncle, husband and father of five kids ranging in the ages of 12 to 1 years old. He was always willing to help someone weather it was someone whom car had broke down on the side of the road to someone just needing to vent, if he could help in any kind of way he would. Willingly!!! Without any judgement.
