Today is the hardest day ever! Losing my mom is a different type of pain Those that know me, know she was and is everything to me. If I’m being honest, this is the last thing I want to do right now. I just found out when my mother became critically ill, that she cancelled her life insurance policy some time ago. I’ve had 9 deaths over the last year and I believe only 1 of them were insured (get your policies people).
In true Dimawi fashion, my mother wrote out her exit plans and gave them to me. She expressed wanting to be cremated and have her ashes scattered in the Bahamas, specifically Paradise Island where my family has vacationed for over 20 years. She wants a celebration with music by Bruno Mars and all of her favorite Cha Cha songs especially “Chunky”. She wants everyone to wear purple of course. She said, no sadness, just good music, laughs, food, fun, and dancing of course. I will be thinking about covid friendly versions of this also.
These funds will be used for her cremation, the celebration and travel to carry out her final wishes with immediate family. I appreciate all the love and support tremendously! Rest well Mom, I love you
P.S. I will be traveling to California on Friday to begin the cremation process
