Home Front Heroes: Immediate Need to Help a Military Family
Donation protected
Our brother-in-arms Jordan and his wife Amber—both dedicated military veterans who are still serving—need our help. They’ve served our country through multiple deployments, with Jorden being a service-connected disabled veteran, and now they’re facing a tough fight at home.
They recently discovered a severe bat and wasp infestation in their house, and after starting some demolition, they found extensive damage in the attic, walls, and possibly the flooring. Worst of all, both of their young children’s bedrooms are currently unlivable due to the infestation and damage. Insurance won’t cover the repairs, leaving them with a massive project and a significant financial burden.
We’re rallying our military community and supporters to step up and make their home safe and livable again. We’re organizing a work weekend from July 25-27 to come together, roll up our sleeves, and tackle the demolition, drywall installation, mudding, taping, and other repairs. We also believe the affected exterior walls will need to be spray foamed to prevent any further entry by pests.
In addition to hands-on help, we’re raising funds through this GoFundMe to cover materials, tools, and any professional assistance required. While we need plenty of bodies for manual labor, we’re especially looking for folks with expertise in areas like extermination, spray foam insulation, drywall, mudding, and more—if that’s you, please join us!
If you can stay all weekend and need a place to sleep, we’ll be opening up the Kearney Armory. Meals will be provided throughout the event.
Donate here on GoFundMe to help cover costs—and please share this page far and wide! Every contribution counts, whether it’s a few dollars, a spare tool, or a few hours of your time.
Let’s show this incredible family—who would do anything for anybody—what our military community is truly made of and give them the support they deserve. Thank you for standing with us!
