As many of you recall, Brad Bell, son of Jane and Doug, suffered a series of strokes in November 2016 at the age of 48. Brad was hospitalized in intensive care and was unable to attend the LESLIE-STEVENS Family Reunion in Orange Beach that week.

Over the next 6 months, Brad made a slow, partial recovery that eventually enabled him to return to his job at Publix grocery store. However, his health never fully returned.
The next two years proved to be both challenging and depressing to Brad due to major memory loss, the inability to walk steadily, drive safely, and enjoy his life fully. Recently, he has been hospitalized again.  As of now, he is unable to return to work, leading to a total drainage of his financial resources.

Brad is an individual who has always had the odds stacked against him. He grew up with diagnosed learning disabilities and falls under the autistic spectrum. The death of both of his parents in 2011 and the subsequent divorce from his wife placed Bradley on a path of setbacks. The changes were jarring, dramatic, and disjointing for Brad, resulting in a nosedive in his overall health.

The bright side of this story is that Brad is finally on his way to a healthier life through a current therapy routine, an upcoming life-changing heart surgery, and the support of his brother, Ricke Bell.

Brad's goal is to resume his independent life, but he needs a little help to achieve that.  After his most recent hospitalization,  Brad is living with Ricke and Patty, but wants to have a place of his own where he can begin to effectively rebuild his life. This GoFundMe is a start to help Brad attain his own home.

Ricke is working with Brad's medical and social services team to determine the best living arrangements for Brad's success. Any amount will be immeasurably appreciated by Brad at this time.
