Home Fire - Emergency Help Needed!
Donation protected
Last night, we received a call at 3:00 am. It was Jordan. She was watching her home and all her possessions go up in flames.
But at the same time, she thanked God for a neighbor who alerted them. Caleb, their two little girls, Jubilee and Selah, and Jordan, made it out safely. She knew that the Lord used that neighbor to rescue them.
Their home (an older, all-wood house that they had remodeled) burned quickly, and by the time the fire department arrived, the fire had spread and consumed their home.
Caleb and Jordan do have homeowner’s insurance, but right now, they need help. They have immediate needs that come with losing everything and long-term needs that will come as the housing market has changed significantly since they first purchased their home, and they know insurance will come up short.
Caleb had to choose between rescuing their dogs or saving all his studio equipment, computer, and recordings in their home studio. He chose their dogs; therefore, all the tools he uses for his livelihood and ministry are gone (approx $20,000).
Some of us know Caleb and Jordan Maxey as family or friends, others as members of the Christian community, through the Christian School where Caleb works, or through Jordan’s business, Village Apothecary.
However, your life is connected to theirs... Let’s do what we can to help them financially during this time.
Thank You,
Their Family
