Home destroyed in fire

Hi, My name is Charlotte. On Saturday night last my home went up in flames. My cardigan sleeve caught fire but myself & my two children 6 & 8 are very lucky to be alive and very grateful.

We ran for our lives & had to scream & knock on all the apartments from the 3rd floor down to get everyone out safe.

Although on the night there was absolutely nothing we needed to save just ourselves however now in hindsight when the trauma and reality is sitting in we have lost our whole world, all our possession's, beds, furniture, hundreds of books I have collected for years, all the kids toys, passports, keys, some things will be able to be washed & lovely local friends washed the kids clothes several times to remove the smell of smoke.

Unfortunately the fire men said that everything needs to go as it is very toxic & extremely dangerous.

I am in the middle of declaring ourselves homeless & to even get into emergency accommodation is actual so difficult. We are couch surfing at the minute & blessed the kids have their dad's but we are officially homeless.

I have set up the gofundme page to help me with recovering our lives, firstly for now we just need to replace some items of clothing, shoes, pjs, day to day things, pay for a storage until for what was saved.

I really cannot go into a homeless hub with my kids, it is no place for any child but not after our home getting burned down. They have had enough trauma.

So we may have to rent a air BNB or something so that we can stay in the local area for work and school. Money will go to deposit & months rent if we find a new home ourselves and then the biggest part is for when we get our new home to replace everything we lost, the kids were left with very little toys, books etc I want to try keep things as normal as possible for them.

My mother is away for 3 weeks so I cannot put this online for the moment, I don't want her to hear about this while she is away, so I will share amongst the local community for the moment.
