My name is Ashley Trotter. Currently am without a home due to the recent devastation caused by the Almeda Fire. I rented a room within the Talent Mobile Estate trailer park, that has now entirely been burned to the ground. My boyfriend and I, Mikey Harrison, were able to only grab some clothes and toiletries. We are currently house hopping and staying wherever we can, waking up in the morning wondering how we are going to eat, shower, find shelter, ETC. Luckily there have been amazing resources offered by the community and we are forever grateful for that. Unfortunately that can only go so far and we need to try our hardest to get back on our feet and it’s been a pretty tough time trying to do it all by ourselves. I have never done anything like reaching out to the community asking for help like this, but the state that we are in, I’m desperate at this point for anything that helps us take it step by step to hopefully achieve our goal of renting out another room and slowly gaining back our lives.
I wanted to acknowledge how much this community has come together to give out so many amazing and helpful resources including free clothes, shelter, food, water, hugs, etc.
