Cinnamon's Story:
I was was found at Miners Mart in Healy on March 1, 2015. I can't really tell anyone wh ere I came from and no one recognized me, but I knew I needed help. Some great people took my photo so I could find my way home and put me on Facebook here. It spread and Holy Dog! offered to take me in if someone could get me to them. Well some very kind people drove me all the way to Fairbanks and I found some new friends who cleaned my wounds and gave me a home. In the morning they are taking me to the vet to start treatment.
I will be treated at Ballaine in Fairbanks and will remain at Holy Dog! through my recovery. We don't know yet what all my vet bills will be, but I have a number of serious wounds. All of the funds collected will go directly to my care.
If if you want updates on my progress follow Holy Dog! On Facebook.
I included some photos of my arrival at Holy Dog! below and will be adding dated updates as well as the costs of some of my expenses so you can see how you are helping me.
* I appreciate the love and support from everyone. However, I will not be up for adoption or a foster home yet. As soon as I'm ready for a new family you guys will be the first to know. I still need a lot of specialized care and attention as well as training and socializing before I'll be ready for a new home.
My expected bills:
It isn't any fun to think about the bills, but my new humans say it is pretty normal. I'm going to need a lot of love, care and attention to get better- which they said wasn't an issue (because they love me and said there are tons of other people helping me and cheering me on too), but I figured I would share what some of what my unexpected bills were with you guys. If I would have know I think I would have started saving my bones a few years back :P

After my vet visit

Hello again! I made it back from my vet visit safe and sound. My leg injury was pretty bad, but the guys over at Ballaine took really good care of me. They gave me a full checkup and looked at my leg. I'm still a little woozy, but happy to be back at Holy Dog! I'm on antibiotics and something else with a weird name because my leg was infected all the way to the bone. It's ok though; they are going to change my bandage, repack my wound and keep giving me cheese so that the meds taste yummy. I even got set up in a suit all to myself for the night and ate a little dinner. I'll update you again soon!!
