Holy Spirit Child Welfare Home Fundraiser 2024

Another year, another marathon, another fundraiser.

2017 I had the unbelievable luck and privilege of meeting the children living in the Holy Spirit Child Welfare Home in Kathmandu, Nepal. The HSCWH is a small non- profit NGO that takes care of and gives a home to children of all ages. Currently 15 children and young people live in the home.

The home was founded in 2009 and provides nutritious food, clothing, quality education and a lovely home with family environment to orphans, abandoned low-cast and marginalized children in Nepal.

Parts of Nepal were hard hit by a civil war between 1996 and 2006, killing over 17.000 people and leaving many children without parents or care-givers. Only 3 years later after the end of the civil war Nepal was hit by a massive earthquake in 2009 killing another 8,962 people and creating even more children in desperate need of help and protection.

As a non- profit NGO the Home solely relies on sponsors and benefactors.

It´s a charity that is very close to my heart and it´s amazing to see the good that the money can do that you kindly donate.

This year I´ll be taking part in the Toulouse marathon on the 10th of November.

I know that times are hard for so many people and so many people struggle to get by.

If you do have some money to spare a small donation would go a long way in improving the children's lives. The home uses the money for school fees and stationary and clothes for school. Education is expensive in Nepal.

Education is the only real way out of poverty and to a better future though.
