This January, I will begin my final semester at North Central University and cannot wait for what's next. Time sure flies when you're having fun. Studying Youth Ministry and discovering my passions over the past few years has been incredible, and I know that the best lies ahead!
This May, I have been given the opportunity to go to Israel for a two and a half week learning experience. This trip will be from May 20- June 8. NCU requires all ministry-major students to go on this trip in order to enrich biblical knowledge, as well as to give us a once-in-a-lifetime experience touring the Holy Lands. This trip is an educational trip, not simply a vacation. The tour will be led by world-renowned scholars as we explore historical and biblical sites, have on-site lectures, and learn more about the Bible Lands. We will also have opportunities to participate in activities such as snorkeling in the Red Sea, a Camel trek through Wadi Rum, swimming in the springs of Sakne, hiking down the Arbel Cliffs, Jeep treks through the desert in Jordan, an evening boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, floating in the Dead Sea, participating in the Temple Mount sifting project, and an archeological dig in Beth Gurvin.
I am thrilled to have been given this opportunity and I know that it will be life-changing. I know that my future ministry and personal relationship with Jesus will benefit from this experience. Unfortunately, I cannot do this on my own. I am asking you to partner with me, whether financially or through prayer.
The total cost of this trip is $4,250. I have already funded the $400 downpayment, but have a long way to go before reaching the goal. The next, major payment deadline is on January 16th- $2,000 is due. Thus, I am anxiously raising support for the next few weeks and would greatly appreciate it if you could help at all. The final balance is due March 10th. All money that is given will be used towards to cost of this trip.
Most importantly, I would ask for your prayers. Please be praying for me as I finish my bachelors degree and search for where to go next. Please pray for the fundraising process, and the time that will be invested to make this trip possible. Finally, please pray for the safety of my classmates and I as we travel and spend time in Israel.
I am eternally grateful for the amazing people that God has surrounded me with, and I cannot put to words how much all of your support has helped me. I am so blessed.
