Holy Cross Lacrosse 2025 Autism Awareness Day

Tax deductible
On March 22nd, the Holy Cross Men's Lacrosse team will host its second annual Autism Awareness Day to help spread kindness, create awareness, and celebrate neurodiversity.

My sister, Madison, bravely faced the challenges of a rare genetic disorder known as Dup 15q Syndrome, intricately linked with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). ASD, with its hurdles in social interaction, communication, and repetitive behaviors, was just one layer of Madison's complex journey. She battled daily seizures, cognitive and physical limitations, and a multitude of health complications. Maddie’s inner strength was always shining through despite these formidable obstacles. Tragically, Madison's courageous fight came to an end on December 31, 2023.

Madison's life was a testament to resilience and love, and her unwavering spirit was a beacon for our family. In the face of adversity, she demonstrated grace and unparalleled strength, inspiring all who knew her. Motivated by Madison's indomitable spirit, we have founded a foundation dedicated to supporting families caring for individuals with rare diseases and special needs. Our aim is clear: to provide essential resources and guidance to these families. We will act with unwavering support as these families work hard to care for and enhance the lives of their special loved ones.

Madison's legacy is one of resilience and love, her impact far-reaching and profound. We are committed to honoring her memory by advocating for those facing similar struggles, embodying her motto: "Live like Maddie." Through our foundation, we pledge to keep Madison's light shining brightly, ensuring that her spirit continues to inspire and uplift others. Join us in our mission to make a meaningful difference in the lives of families affected by rare diseases and special needs and let Madison's legacy of strength and love continue to thrive.
