Hi , my name is Audrey I’m trying to help my friend Rachelle Parler. She is a desperate 5th grade teacher who had to stop her love teaching because of COVID and Autoimmune issues. She has been hospitalized numerous times since she has stop teaching. She had to take out her TRS retirement to live on because of having no other means of income. In August, after paying rent her TRS money has run out completely. However, her illness has not gotten better and she have been unable to find a job remotely. At the end of August 28 - Aug 31st, she was treated at Memorial Hermann in The Woodlands for 4 days. She has bilateral pneumonia and was treated for sepsis. She is still currently having to use oxygen because walking even a short distance her O2 level drops low. She has not been able to afford to pay her rent for September, due to many obstacles. Of course, being sick in the hospital, but also because she currently lives upstairs and was not healthy enough to make it up the stairs for a while. She is back in her apartment trying to get well; however, she isnt able to leave her apartment often because of using oxygen. September rent now past due she is facing eviction if her rent is not paid ASAP. She has called and relied on numerous community resources. St. Vincent de Paul has agreed to pay half of the rent, but needs proof that the other part will be paid before writing a check to her apartment complex. She has called the Salvation Army, Society of Samaritans, Volunteers of America, and Community Assistance Center, but has not been able to speak with anyone to be able to make an appointment to try and get assistance. Now the phone mailbox is full and time is running out. She has also called about 7 of the surrounding churches, and is waiting on God to step in. During this time on September 4th her father passed away, thankfully peacefully in his sleep. She is also trying to deal with her grief on top of her other struggles. She is currently behind on my rent, other bills, and needs and has filed for SNAP in April, but had to reapply at the beginning of this month and the application is still being processed. She applied for SSDI in July, but that process takes about 9 months on average in most cases. She has also applied for unemployment, but has not been given a decision on if she will receive benefits or not. She continues to reach out each day to get an updated status, but has not received a return call. She also called around to several of the resources before rent was due and they could not help until she received the eviction or disconnect notice. In the meantime, The apartment complex has now put an eviction notice on her door Friday, September 8th with 3 days to move out or pay rent before they file a formal eviction through the courts. She could regain her strength or find something remote. We am not giving up. She have faith the size of a mustard seed . In difficult times we must " put on the garment of praise for the spirit of despair. Please at this point anything will help. No stone will be left unturned Rent, utilities, gas to get to appointments, medications, and food, are all needing assistance. Not to forget oxygen she needs at this time. She's just emotionally, physically and spiritually exhausted and needs a hand up! Please help... thanks and blessings!
Luke 11:5-7 Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. 7 Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
Thank you in advance for your time and giving is much appreciated!
