Update on Jeff Holtzclaw:
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone for the outpouring of love, prayers and support for Jeff and Emily. We are so grateful to have you here with us during this difficult time for our family.
On Saturday, November 11th, my brother-in-law Jeff Holtzclaw was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident near his home in Covina, California. Miraculously, a couple who witnessed the accident was able to use a belt as a tourniquet on his injured leg, which ultimately saved his life. Unfortunately, after 7 surgeries, Jeff’s doctors decided to amputate his leg from the knee down. Jeff has a long road to recovery ahead of him.
The driver who hit Jeff, and was at fault, is a young college student with the bare minimum of insurance coverage, which means a majority of the financial responsibility of Jeff’s accident will fall on the Holtzclaw family. The forthcoming financial impact of medical and rehabilitation costs, Jeff and Emily missing work, paying for childcare, and equipping their home/cars properly are daunting for the family. Any donations collected will go toward these expenses.
