If you know Erika, you have been touched by her endless love and care. As an incredible, unstoppable, strong woman she has been put through more than most hearts can hold. Widowed and left with six children only two years ago, she is still raising four on her own. As if this isn't hard enough, life continues to throw her through the wringer. She provides a safe space for all, and we would like to provide that in return for her family during this extremely difficult time.

Erika's family of five has been evacuated from their home by the Clackamas County fires. 
Forced to evacuate due to fire encroaching on their property at noon on September 9th, Erika and her four children fled without time to grab enough clothes or other necessities. This photo was taken as the family fled the home as flames began consuming te surrounding property. 
These funds are only to clothe, feed, and shelter the family in the midst of this upheaval. Because we don't know how long they will be without a home, we are currently raising money for compensation for a place to stay in the form of friends homes and hotels. This cost may exceed the $5,000 requested but we want to start somewhere. 
It costs approximately $150-$250 a week to feed all five people, assuming this lasts one month that will be $1,000 just to keep their bellies full. 
If you are able to donate food or clothing instead of money, that will also be greatly appreciated. Anything to help achieve some level of comfort and security in this uprooting.  

Clearly, we are all struggling due to COVID and the impact it has made on our security and well-being; so we understand helping may be difficult for most people. Please consider donating a small amount, some clothes, or even sharing this fundraiser; the more eyes the better.
