This GoFundMe account is for my dear friend of nineteen years, Hailey Olson. She and her two sons are in a very tough place financially and have no where else to turn.

One year ago, Hailey was driving home from work on the freeway when traffic came to an abrupt stop. With no warning, she was rear ended and suffered a severe concussion when the back of her head hit the headrest. Since then, she has battled debilitating migraine headaches that get so painful she makes frequent trips to the ER and sometimes spends days at a time in a dark and quiet room. Her chronic pain is affecting every area of her life physically, mentally, and emotionally. It's not just affecting her life, but both of her sons' lives as well.

Her physicians prescribed her "brain rest" for the last 12 months in hopes that she would heal. Unfortunately, all traditional methods and alternative medicine efforts have failed. She just found out that she needs surgery to repair her occipital nerve which was badly damaged in the accident. She will undergo surgery in January at the Washington Nerve Institute in McLean, VA. She has health insurance, but it has a very high deductible that at this point in time, she cannot afford.

Due to her injuries, she was let go from her new, dream job and has not been able to work for a year. Even short periods of concentration can bring on a migraine. Since the trauma of the accident, losing her health and job, and not being able to take joy in her normal activities, she has also just recently been diagnosed with PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder).

Thankfully, Hailey had a disabiltiy policy that provided income for this year, however, she will receive her last payment this month. Without any income she doesn't know how she'll be able to afford her deductible, yet without the surgery, she'll never be able to work again or live a normal and fulfilling life for her boys and herself.

Hailey is a single Mother to Andrew and Alex. She is driven and hard working. After going through a divorce she put herself through college entirely through grants and scholarships. Even though she was working full-time, she graduated Magna Cum Laude with her second degree. Her plan was to complete her MBA this month, which would have earned her three degrees in five years. Due to her injuries, she can't study, read for long periods of time, or write papers. Her dream of completing her education has been put on hold due to her head injury.

Hailey has spent her entire life giving to others in different areas of ministry. At this point, she has nowhere else to turn and is relying on God and others to get her and her boys through this difficult time.

Please consider a financial gift so that Hailey and her boys can afford to stay in their home. She is being faced with the possibility of having to sell their home. She also needs funds to afford her surgery and travel expenses to her out-of-state surgeon. Please pray that the surgery is succcessful and that Hailey can return to work, resume her MBA courses, and most importantly, be an active Mother again in her sons' lives.
