While visiting from Alabama, Kristi and Jermey’s 6-year-old daughter experienced a severe asthma flare-up that required emergency care and hospitalization. She has since been transferred to Valley Children’s Hospital for ongoing treatment and monitoring.

What was meant to be a short visit has turned into an extended and unexpected medical stay far from home. Along with the emotional stress, the family now faces significant financial strain — including hospital and ambulance bills, extended lodging, and costly last-minute changes to travel plans.
