Holly’s Mast Cell Cancer Surgery

This GoFundMe is to support Alison Mitchell’s dog, Holly, who has been diagnosed with mast cell cancer in 5 different locations. She needs surgery to remove two lymph nodes and 5 mast cell lesions. Based on grading after surgery she may or may not need chemo as well. She has a surgery consult scheduled next week. This is a very expensive surgery, the initial quote is $8,500-$10,000. Given the location of her lesions and the possibility of needing dye guided ultrasound for the lymph node removal the surgery is best done by a surgeon at the specialty hospital.

Holly lost her leg when Alison found her 8 years ago. She had a dislocated elbow from supposedly being hit by a car. She was also covered in flea, ticks and cigarette burns. She’s overcome so much in her life and is the sweetest girl and best friend and constant companion to Alison’s daughter, Iris. We love our Holly Hippo and want to help Alison give Holly the best fighting chance she has for recovery from mast cell.
