Holly's Fight

Hi, my name is Haley! I am making this on behalf of my mom Holly. After 17 years of being in remission, on February 14th 2023 my mom was diagnosed for a second time with Breast Cancer. Invasive Ductal Carcinoma of the right breast. So far she has had a biopsy, lumpectomy, and had an appointment with oncology, surgical oncology, and plastics. On April 10th she is scheduled for a bilateral mastectomy with immediate reconstruction using her own tissue. This will be a major breast and abdominal surgery with about an 8 week recovery time. After her recovery she will need a second surgery for a port and she will be receiving chemotherapy once a week for 3 months followed by another round of chemo every 3 weeks for 13 months. During her surgical recovery time, she will be without a paycheck. She will also need to travel several times to Philadelphia to meet with the specialists at the facility that’s doing her surgery, which is a 2.5 hour drive on the PA turnpike. Any money donated will go directly to her to help cover her monthly bills, gas, and tolls during this time. Anybody who knows my mother knows she is the strongest, most caring and generous woman you could rely on. Anything helps her during this time.
