Dear family, friends, sangha, and beyond,

We are happy to share that we are getting married on August 1, 2026!

We've been fortunate to have been practicing the Dharma together for several years in a number of auspicious settings. Now we hope to further stabilize and bless our Dharma household by making our commitment official in a Buddhist wedding ceremony! We rejoice to be able to share our good fortune with our friends and family soon.

For us, going on pilgrimage in March of this year is the best way to set a clear intention for taking these vows. We wish to create auspicious circumstances that will support excellent conditions for our Dharma practice into the future, and to set a strong intention to make our relationship be such a condition for our practice. We would like to ask the lineage to bless these intentions!

We are making this pilgrimage in order to receive teachings and blessings from Rinpoche at this potent time, to make aspirations that we will benefit beings and the lineage, to make offerings at sacred Buddhist sites to further deepen our connection, to gather our best offerings for the ceremony, and to set an unmistakable intention for the Dharma to be at the center of our lives together. Although we are in the early stages of manifesting our Dharma household, Rinpoche's teachings have always been at the very center.

Keller is a newly-trained elementary school teacher in his first year of teaching, and is supporting Holly through an acupuncture diploma. Both of these paths we chose in order to fulfil Right Livelihood, and because they offer an amount of flexibility which will allow us to serve the lineage and keep the Dharma at the center of our lives into the future. Since Keller is a substitute teacher this year, it will become difficult for him to go on a March pilgrimage once he has his own classroom. For all of these reasons, we believe this year is the time to go!

Because we are living on one income, and the cost of airfare to Nepal from Nova Scotia is very high, we ask for support on this journey from those who are inspired.
