Our beloved friend, Holly, or Miss K as some of you know her, is one of the most remarkable, gentle, and giving women. For the past 35 years of our friendship, we have witnessed her unrelenting care for others.

From struggling teens to baby hummingbirds, Holly will never turn away from someone or something in need. We’ve all seen her help transform lives through the kindness of her heart. From running into harm's way to rescue and find shelter for displaced animals during the fire season to taking food to families in need, Holly is always first on the scene. She even gifts her array of homemade jams to our local community; just to bring a smile. As an English teacher and a special needs counselor at Palisades Charter High, Holly tirelessly creates a safe and comfortable learning environment. She has fostered deep connections with teenagers - particularly a deep listening and commitment to change for those most challenged.

So how does one person's heart dwell so readily in a constant state of giving and caring for others now end up with breast cancer? The answer is that this cancer has the wrong girl and is not here to stay.

We are asking for your positive, healing vibes and prayers. We are graciously seeking financial help so Holly can comfortably receive appropriate medical care and recovery. So please help us help Holly, someone who has inspired the masses with her prolific writings, teachings, guidance, and care for all, who is now the one who needs our help.

Holly has sought out and identified a treatment plan and has an upcoming surgery in a matter of days. However, the uncertainty of her recovery time may make it difficult for Holly to sustain herself and her family post-surgery.
