Oceania Championships: Help Holly hit her target!
Donation protected
Hi I am Holly, I am 15 years old and have been competing in Archery since I was 7.
I am very excited to be selected to represent Australia in the 2023 World Archery Oceania Championships AND the Trans Tasman competition against New Zealand AND that precedes the Oceania. Both tournaments will be held in Adelaide in April.
While I have previously represented NSW, this is the first time I have been selected to represent Australia and am really looking forward to wearing the Green and Gold with pride.
But this is not a free ticket as we still have to pay to get to and from Adelaide and there are accommodation costs too. With my Dad being a single parent this is a lot for him to fund by himself. Unfortunately I am not allowed to wear any sponsors logos on my uniform.
So that is why I am asking for a bit of financial help…
I am a member of Coast Archers and am ranked Number 1 female under 16 compound archer in NSW and number 2 in Australia. I have represented NSW in the Youth National Target Championships and in the National Indoor Championships. On both occasions I placed, and the NSW teams won gold in both competitions. I hold 2 state records, one for the 'Melbourne Round' is for under 18!
Recently I won the State trophy for the best allround under 16 compound archer in NSW, I came 2nd overall in the 2022 Youth Series, I was the highest placed under 16 compound archer from all 2022 State Tournaments and I was also awarded an elite bronze classification.
I have been training really hard for these events. I shoot every Saturday at my club, then on Sunday Dad drives me 100kms to the Hunter Valley for a 4 hour coaching session, with my coach. I shoot 72 arrows every day and go to the Gym.
You can follow my archery journey on [email redacted]ker_archery and Facebook
If you can help, even if it is the cost of a coffee that you may be willing to donate, I will be so very greatful if you can help me hit the target!.
